Introducing Spice Flow

Spicenet is committed to a future where DeFi apps can grow and scale without limitations, creating better financial outcomes for their users. To that end, we’re building Spice Flow and Spice Edge, two integrations that unlock distribution and execution across chains.

Today we’re proud to introduce Spice Flow, our single integration distribution plug, now live in testnet.

Distribution Is Everything

In crypto, apps live and die by their ability to attract and keep users.

Knowing that, we can understand the difficult choices developers have to make. Do we build on chain A – will the ecosystem grow enough to support revenue? Do we redeploy to B chain – is the effort worth the ROI? Maybe chain C is the best option after all?

If it stopped there, maybe we could manage. But, the space only keeps expanding, with tens, hundreds, and soon thousands of ecosystems going live. Users are increasingly becoming siloed within different ecosystems, making it harder for developers to scale their apps without redeploying on multiple networks.

Multi-chain apps come with their own cost: time, money, effort. It’s an unfeasible option for many, especially teams that are just starting out.

Meanwhile, the user base is shifting. Mainstream users expect abstraction. Natives are tired of bridges and broken UX. They want to use their wallets and assets on their preferred chain, and still access opportunities in different ecosystems.

Stuck between fragmentation and friction, teams have to make painful trade offs, often resulting in isolation or UX and liquidity fragmentation.

To compete and win in crypto today, apps need to offer intuitive UX, broad access, and seamless liquidity flows. Distribution blockers can no longer be tolerated.

Enter Spice Flow: Distribution, Solved

Spice Flow, Spicenet’s first product, makes apps feel native to users across every major blockchain, with just a single API/SDK integration and zero redeployments.

Teams can leverage Spice Flow to effectively get their app in front of 99% of crypto’s user base, while offering zero friction and native UX.

Spice Flow is powered by Spicenet's turnkey brokerage network. Transactions are executed on multiple networks with a single client-side signature, eliminating the need to bridge assets, switch wallets, and set up new accounts. Bundled with Ethereum's EIP-7702 standard, all transactions across chains can be executed atomically and deterministically.

Spice Flow will be deployed on EVM-compatible networks that are up-to-date with Ethereum's Pectra upgrade. Developers can actively start integrating Spice Flow via API in a matter of days, with hands-on support from our team.

Initially, SpiceFlow Testnet will support transactions on Ethereum Sepolia, Base Sepolia, Arbitrum Sepolia, Citrea Testnet and Camp Testnet, with more networks added on-demand.

Why Teams Are Choosing Spice Flow

Spice Flow makes apps feel native on any chain, allowing apps to reach new user bases, engage them with native swaps, staking and deposits, and grow while cutting costs.

  • Access to new networks and users: Spice Flow is the hyperscaler for crypto apps. Teams can reach new user bases and access emerging and established blockchain ecosystems with a single integration that feels native anywhere.

  • Eliminate onboarding barriers & friction: Users can access and onboard to Spice Flow-powered apps using existing wallets and assets on preferred networks, without the need to bridge funds or switch networks.

  • Reduced operational overhead & costs: Spice Flow removes all multi-chain deployment overhead, enabling teams to expand to new networks and reach new users with a single integration.

How Spice Flow Works in Practice

Imagine an app called Orange, built on Arbitrum, that integrates Spice Flow. Now, users like Alice on Base can access and use Orange directly—no bridging, no network switching—just with their existing wallet and assets on Base. To Alice, Orange feels completely native.

How does this work under the hood? The first prerequisite is that a Spicenet adapter (smart contract) is deployed on both Arbitrum and Base, Then, there are broadly two components that facilitate the described interaction:

  • Client-side UI/UX: Spicenet's collection of SDKs provide white label UI components for apps to embed into their client-side interfaces. They enable users like Alice to onboard to different apps all while using wallets and assets from her preferred network.
  • Single-signature execution: Apps can execute transactions on multiple chains (Arbitrum and Base in this case) using a single client-side signature from the user. No multi-step approvals. No bridging assets and switching networks. Spice Flow enables users to express arbitrary intents that can be executed on behalf of them with a single approval.

Here’s what the end-to-end flow looks like:

  • Alice provides a single signature for transaction execution on both Base and Arbitrum.
  • On the source chain, i.e Base, the transaction submits sufficient collateral to a smart contract escrow and provides a EIP-7702 authorization to Spicenet's custom delegate contract.
  • On the destination chain, i.e Arbitrum, the transaction provides a EIP-7702 authorization to Spicenet's custom delegate contract and describes calldata to be executed on Orange's smart contract.
  • Spicenet's brokerage network then submits both transactions on Base and Arbitrum. The transaction on Arbitrum is executed on behalf of Alice in a fully native fashion using EIP-7702 on Orange's contracts, financed or sponsored by sufficient collateral posted on Base.
  • Resulting outcomes, like DeFi positions, ERC-20 tokens or receipt tokens are stored on Alice's deterministic keypair on Arbitrum, providing full self-custody and ensuring Alice can access her funds at any time.

Be Native Anywhere With a Single Integration

Spice Flow makes it easy to compete and win across ecosystems. What we’ve built is a game-changer for apps that want to scale fast and stay competitive in crypto today.

Spice Flow is currently live on Ethereum Sepolia, Base Sepolia, Arbitrum Sepolia, Citrea Testnet and Camp Testnet, with more chains coming soon. Several apps have started the integration process, working with our team to deliver next-level UX to their users.

Once the Spicenet Mainnet goes live end of year, Spice Flow will be production-ready, facilitating user flow across chains. Don’t stay behind – the time to integrate is now.
